Welcome to an interesting life at sea!
Life on board a cruise ship is different from a job ashore and surely a challenge. If you are motivated, flexible, willing to work hard and are also a team player with a professional background and experiences you will:
- see the world and visit many new exciting places
- meet people from different countries and cultures
- work long hours
- enjoy free meals and accommodations
- possibly share a cabin
- work four to eight months consecutively
- have free medical insurance
- earn good money, usually tax-free
- excellent opportunities for career advancements
Prior to going on board you will need to make sure that you have a valid passport for at least one year. It is REQUIRED before you go on board. You will also need to have a special medical check up.
You
may have to get certain visas. This depends on where you live and
the destination of the ship. It is likely that you will be responsible for
your travel expenses to the ship. The majority of the employers will provide
the return ticket and reimburse you for your other travel expenses after your
completed term.
